Congratulations Class of 2014!

On Friday night, twenty seniors walked across the platform to receive their diplomas.  What an exciting night!  Salutatorian, Hannah Boehme, reflected on the years these students have spent together and the memories they have made.   Caitlin Secrist’s valedictorian address challenged the seniors to look forward to the next chapter in their life and focus their attention on following God’s will and continuing to develop their relationship with Christ.

One of the highlights of the evening was the commencement address by Lt. Gov. Dan Forest.  He reminded the graduates that we live in an exceptional country that was founded on the truths that “all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness” (DOI,1776).

We are the only nation founded upon such principles.  Our happiness comes from doing what God wants us to do.  He encouraged the students to focus on their relationship with God and to believe and trust in Him.

Congratulations, Class of 2014!  We are so happy for you and wish you all the best as you begin this next chapter of your lives!
