Veterans Day Chapel

Friendship Christian School celebrated Veterans Day with a special chapel to honor those who have served our country in the military.  We were privileged to welcome over thirty veterans, including several WWII veterans.  Our middle school band performed several patriotic pieces and our high school choir led us in the singing of the National Anthem.

The highlight of the chapel was the interview between Colonel (Ret.) Steven D. Martin and Major (Ret.) Don King, Army Special Forces, Green Beret.  Col. Martin asked Major King to reflect on his years in the military.  Major King shared about why he joined the army, his years in Vietnam, as well as how the Lord directed and protected him during his years of service.

The members of the National Honor Society hosted a brunch for our honored military guests after the program.  We were honored to start our day by remembering and thanking those who have sacrificed so much for our country.
