9th Annual Parents of Friendship Walk Event

The sun was shining brightly as we set up for our 9th Annual Parents of Friendship Walk Event. The excitement began to build as the students watched the inflatables and new rock wall being unloaded – they knew they were in for a fun time with friends.

After participating in the Walk, students stopped at activity stations set up around the field.  Parents and teachers channeled their inner child as they joined the students at the jump rope and hula hoop stations.

After the Walk Event ended, the school family enjoyed a fun day of activities.  The line was long at the face painting as several of our students used their artistic talents to create masterpieces on the children’s faces.  Another big hit was the dunk tank where students could try their hand at making a big splash by dunking their favorite teacher or student.  The addition of the Rock Wall offered a great challenge to those who were willing to accept it.

The gym was transformed into a child’s playground filled with inflatables for children of all ages.  The older students raced each other in the Adrenaline Rush and tried to eliminate the competition at the Wrecking Ball.  The younger students loved sliding down the Giant Slide, crawling through the Caterpillar, and jumping around in the Bounce House.

The purpose of the POF Walk Event is to raise money for our Annual Fund.  This fund is used to purchase items that will enhance our students’ educational experience.  We have been blessed at FCS by the amount of money that has been raised for our Annual Fund.  Click here for more information about our Annual Fund.

The Parents of Friendship Walk Event/Fun Day is one of the highlights of our year!  Many people volunteered their time to make this a special day.  We appreciate all who had a part in making this a fun time for all!
