Soccer Team Serves Together

On Friday, August 10, the Friendship Christian varsity boys’ soccer team headed to Mr. Alex Gupton’s house to serve through helping with yard work. Mr. Gupton is a charter member of Friendship Baptist Church. He and his late wife were one of eight North Raleigh couples who decided to begin doing work for God in their local area in January of 1965. Five years later, Friendship Christian School began as a ministry of Friendship Baptist Church. This was an opportunity for our varsity boys to show love and service to a faithful man who’s been at Friendship from the very beginning.

The boys also got to enjoy pizza while listening to Mr. Gupton talk about the “good ol’ days,” and they were able to present a Falcons t-shirt to him so he can continue showing his FCS spirit.
