With Jesus, Rise Above

Feb. 7, 2024

Transcendence.  Rising above. Higher levels of consciousness.

There is no end to books, religions, and gurus selling this dream. The human condition shares a longing to rise above what is.

There has to be something more. There must be something better. If only….

This desire is planted and watered by media outlets and businesses – desiring more and better is key to quarterly profits and returns.

Meditations . . . yoga . . . mantras. . . There always has to be newer . . . better.  Something to live for.

Depression creeps in when we feel that this terrestrial planet and frail human existence have nothing new or better to offer. Not really. Nothing to satisfy the wanderlust..

I believe this leads to many divorces and mid-life crises – an unfulfilled longing for an empty dream.

This is where Jesus enters the picture.
He descended to us so that we could transcend to Him.

Even anchored to this spinning orb, in and through Him, we can find transcendence.

God’s truth allows us to rise above while finding deep and abiding satisfaction in the life He’s given us to live.

He is all knowing.

He is merciful and loving.

He is beyond us and with us.

He loved us first.

He does what is best.

His will is everything.

He is over all creation.

Among these truths, spouses can forgive and support each other, employees can humbly submit to authority, people can pray for those who use and abuse them and choose to forgive.

These truths are free. Without classes or breath work, anyone can access them and rise above the circumstances of life.

If you find yourself crushed under the weight of life, desiring a higher plane of existence, come to Jesus, learn of Him, and you will be able to rise above it even while in it.

He is at the right hand of the Father, above it all, and when we are in Him, we are seated in the same place.

Confess that you are a sinner in need of a savior; call on Him to be your Savior; fill your heart and mind with His word and promises; seek His will above your own; and you will find the peace that passes understanding.

John 14:27 assures us of this: Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
