Admissions Policy

At Friendship Christian School, we are committed to cultivating academic excellence grounded in a biblical worldview. We equip students with truth, wisdom, and grace to guide their learning and their lives.

Our mission is to prepare students to think critically, live faithfully, and serve others with compassion.

In partnership with families, we foster a Christ-centered community where students are encouraged to grow, thrive, and reach their God-given potential.

The pillars that shape our admissions decisions

Shared Values & Cooperative Spirit

FCS works best with families who share our values, so they receive priority in admissions.
We expect every family and student to have a cooperative spirit and to support the school’s standards, as outlined in the Parent/Student Handbook. We only admit students who desire to be a part of the FCS community — negative attitudes toward the Christian faith or the school will prevent admission. Applications, interviews, school records, and references help us determine if a student is a good fit.

Entrance Testing for Grade Placement

All students entering TK4 through grade 12 are required to complete entrance testing.

The primary purpose of this testing is to ensure accurate grade placement. If a student’s test results indicate a different grade level, the administration may adjust the placement accordingly (with parental consent) or may deny admission.

Mission Alignment & Admission Criteria

We admit students who will thrive within the spirit of the school and its mission.

FCS reserves the right to refuse admission to anyone who would not fit into the spirit of the institution nor benefit from the education offered. The administration also reserves the right to refuse to define the criteria or reasons when applications are not accepted. The status of all students is reviewed annually.

Enrollment Considerations

FCS is not a corrective institution.
We ask that a child not be enrolled with the idea that we will reform him or her. We are here to work with the home, but not to take the place of parents who are experiencing difficulty with their child. If a student has been dismissed or expelled from another school, the student will usually be required to prove himself for one year before being considered for admission at FCS.

Ongoing Enrollment Expectations

Student attendance is a privilege.

This privilege may be forfeited at any time if a cooperative spirit is not maintained in adhering to the school’s rules and policies. If at any time a student or his parents do not demonstrate support for FBC, FCS, or its biblical convictions, the administration may request that parents withdraw their child from the school — even if the child has not been an open discipline problem.

Parental Partnership Agreement

Parents affirm their agreement to the school's policies.
At registration, parents acknowledge that they have read and agreed to the contents of the FCS handbook, including the FBC Doctrinal Statement and Statement of Faith. Parents are also responsible for helping their child understand and follow the school’s policies.

Non-Discrimination Policy

Friendship Christian School admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies, admission policy, financial aid policy, athletic and other school-administered programs.
