Upper School Arts

Honoring God with Creativity and Service

God designed our world filled with color, beauty, and song. Through the arts, our students learn to use their God-given talents to reflect the wonder of His world and works.

In middle and high school, our fine arts electives help students develop discipline, hone their skills, and know the thrill of artistic collaboration.

Passionate, qualified instructors with decades of combined experience challenge and encourage students to grow in their gifts to serve God, express their love for Him, and edify the church.

O Lord, how manifold are thy works!
In wisdom hast thou made them all:
the earth is full of thy riches.
Psalm 104:24
From the lifting of voices
to the stroke of a paintbrush,
the arts point our gaze toward
a magnificent God.

Elective Courses

In addition to music, band, and art, upper school students may choose from fine arts electives, including:

Speech students learn the fundamentals of good public speaking and memorization, performing pieces for schoolwide concerts and competitions. Middle and high school students may choose a speech elective.

Yearbook provides instruction for 9th-12th grade students to develop skills in photography, graphic arts/page design, and content creation based on the annual theme. At the end of the year, the entire student body gets a copy of the yearbook that captures favorite Friendship memories.
