All You Need to Know for a Smooth Start to a New Year

The countdown is on, as Friendship Christian School will soon welcome students and families back to the Falcon fold. Campus will be buzzing once again.

 

Orientations

Monday, August 11, at 6:30 pm
Secondary Orientation (6th-12th Grades)
Church Auditorium (A Building)

After orientation, families will have time to visit classrooms, meet teachers, and connect with other families in the school community. Students are encouraged to bring their school supplies, pick up class schedules, and set up their lockers.

Tuesday, August 12, at 6:00 pm
Elementary Orientation (TK4-5th Grades)
Church Auditorium (A Building)

Following orientation, families will head to their classrooms to meet your child’s teacher and drop off school supplies. Help your student get familiar with the new year to alleviate first-day jitters!

All new and returning students and parents are encouraged to attend orientation to receive important information to start the school year off with confidence. What to expect:

• A presentation by the FCS Leadership Team
• Q&A with the administration
• Overview of elective course options for 2025-2026 (Sign up will take place the first few days of school.)
• Drop off school supplies in classrooms or lockers
• Meet and greet teachers and other FCS families
• The school office will be open for questions and for parents to drop off medication or paperwork.

First Days of School

Wednesday, August 13
7:45 am – 3:00 pm
High School (9th-12th grades) first day of school
Drop off begins at 7:30 am.
6:30 am - Senior Sunrise Breakfast

Thursday, August 14
TK4-8th grade first day of school
7:45 am: 6th-8th grades begin
7:55 am: TK4-5th grades begin
Drop off begins at 7:30 am.

2:30 Dismissal TK4-5th
2:55 pm Dismissal 6th-12th grades

 

Important Events

Back to School Night
Friday, August 22
After School – 9:00 pm

Kick off the year with a fun, casual evening for the whole family! Cheer on the Falcons soccer and volleyball teams (starting at 4 pm) and enjoy inflatables (4:30 pm), face painting, concessions, and more! It’s a great opportunity to reconnect with friends, welcome new families, and celebrate the start of a new school year together.

Secondary Field Trips

Friday, September 5: Middle school field trips*

September 10-13: 9th and 12th grade retreat*

September 11-13: 10th and 11th grade field trips*

PE Uniforms & FCS Merch

The FCS Spirit Store will be open for a limited time online throughout the school year to purchase PE uniforms, elementary activity shirts, and FCS athletic and spirit wear. Open store dates will be linked online and sent to parents via email from the Athletic Department.
