New NHS Members Inducted

FCS installs eight new students into the National Honor Society.

Congratulations to Friendship’s newly inducted National Honor Society members! This year’s inductees are Dayana Brena, Ian Clark, Mackenzie Harrison, Joshua Hemric, Lorelei Hosford, Abygail Hyden, Kaylee Mangum, and Yohan Moliso.

During Thursday’s NHS ceremony, Mr. Evan Brondyke and current NHS members presented certificates and pins. Inductees then vowed to uphold the organization’s four pillars: scholarship, service, leadership, and character.

A school marked by servant leaders is one that shines the light of God’s glory.

Pastor Kris Wilder shared a challenge from Philippians 2, stating true leadership means having a heart to serve others, not one seeking personal recognition.

“We can unite with Christ, not for selfish gain, but as we meet the needs of others,” he said, concluding that a school marked by servant leaders is one that shines the light of God’s glory.

Families then celebrated at a reception following the ceremony. NHS members must uphold a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.5 and meet the requirements of leadership, service, and character as determined through a teacher recommendation process.

We’re proud of the students’ hard work and commitment — way to go!
