shareThe boys soccer team is currently 11-4-1 overall and 6-3 in conference play. We have a strong young team this year that has worked hard to learn a new system on the field. The team has scored 72 goals and given up 33 in the their 16 games. The remaining regular season schedule has cross town rival Raleigh Christian coming to our field on Thursday, October 10, in a battle for the number 2 seed in NCCSA District 3 at stake. Alamance Christian will be here October 15, Tuesday, for the last regular season game and Senior night.
The defense is led by sophomore starting goalie Andrew Garner and junior backup Luke Oschner, each one in their first year playing keeper. The backline is anchored by senior Michael Dunlap, Austin Yanez (So), Dillon Hughes (So) and Ethan Meng (So). Cody Jeans (So) and freshman Brandon Soemer have also seen minutes in the backline.
The midfield has two seniors that help control the flow of play in the middle, Morgan Moss and Roland Coc. The wings are Austin DeAngelo (So) and Camden Brochu (So). Tyler Nelson (So) helps provide support to the offense. Aaron Walker (So) and Riley Smith (Fr) come off the bench to help the midfield.
The frontrunner is Andrew Peterson (So) supported by Kien Dang (Jr).
