This is not just a set of words, but a true core value that is taught day in and day out at Friendship Christian School. Our administration and teachers seek out ways in which we can teach our students to serve others. This week, that came in the form of care packages for our military personnel.
What a blessing it was to see our school family come together to support those who are serving our county in the military. Donations of food and personal care items came flooding into the school office. Enough to be able to pack 30 care packages to be sent all over the world. Each of our classes either wrote personal notes of thanks or drew pictures to be added to the boxes as well.
Our ninth grade students and parents had a great time packing the boxes, and we were blessed to send them on their way in hopes of bringing cheer to those who receive them.
Service to others comes in many forms. What a blessing it was for our students to be able to experience that first hand.
